Key newcomers: Isaac Chavez (So., D/MF); Andrew Werner (Jr., MF); Jaime Almeida (Sr., MF); Nick Werner (Sr., D).
Outlook: With a veteran squad loaded with Eagles who experienced success a year ago, expectations are high in the Hub City. Belen's appearance in the quarterfinals was a first for the school and the Eagles are poised to make that the first of many more.
Fun Fact: Belen's 15 wins last season was a school record and that success showed with 42 players trying out for the team this season.
Coach: Evan Gartz 4th year as (Fourth Season; 51-19).
Last Season: 17-7, 8-0 in District.
Post Season: State runners up.
Returning letterwinners: 13
Outlook: The Hilltoppers have the lofty goal of aiming to keep a clean slate throughout the entire district season. With the entire midfield and most of the backline returning, Los Alamos is poised to do just that, which could lead to another run at a state championship.
Fun Fact: The Hilltoppers allowed just one goal during district play last season.

Declined to participate
Coach: Mike Strati
(Fourth season; 62-10)
Last Season: 16-5
Post Season: Lost in first round of State Tournament to Piedra Vista.
Returning starters: Jacob Candelaria (Sr., MF); John Doughty (Sr., D); Nick Miele (Sr., MF); Nathanael Pacheco, (Sr., F).
Returning letterwinners: 13
Key newcomers: David Gros (Fr., F);
Alex Arvizo (Fr., D); Christian Slough -(Fr., MF).
Outlook: Plain and simple, the Sartans do not lose in the opening round of the State Tournament, so nothing less than a return to their perennial perch will be acceptable. The district race will be spicier with traditional rival Albuquerque Academy back, although some of the luster might be gone from the rivalry with the series of coaching changes in the Northeast Heights.
Fun Fact: The Sartans will be making a trip to Washington D.C. to play DeMatha and St. Albain's.
