Outlook: The Storm will be entering a second season of varsity with essentially the same squad that was so impressive last year. And that gives the team plenty of confidence that is can go farther come November.
Fun Fact: Fourteen of the 16 Storm players achieved an academic award last year.

Post Season: Lost in the state finals to Eldorado.
Returning starters: Alysia Carrasco (Sr., F); Sami Houston (Sr., MF); Laren Krummel (Sr., MF/D); Mireya Moleres (Sr., MF); Emma Sabik (sr., D).
Key Newcomers: Maggie Sabik (So., W); Courtney Riley (So., W); Shayla Malecki (So., F).
Outlook: La Cueva is blessed with a strong and experienced midfield, which should allow the Bears to control play on either end of the field. For La Cueva, a successful season means celebrating a win in the finale, so the Bears will be looking to atone for last year's disappointment.
Fun Fact: The Bears have won 12 state championships, more than any other girls program.

(Third season, 36-8)
Last Season: 20-2, 4-0 in District
Post Season: 1-1
Returning starters: Kimberly Cavender (Jr., GK); Catherine Romero (So., D): Teagan Andrews (So., D); Mika Willis (Sr., MF);

Outlook: Although young, the Cavegirls bring plenty of experience from a team enjoyed tremendous success last season. Carlsbad plays with something of a chip on its shoulder, wanting to prove itself against the bigger-name programs.
Fun Fact: Carlsbad has just two senior starters.

Last Season: 18-2, 7-1 in District.
Post Season: Lost to Eldorado in the quarterfinals in a penalty kicks shootout.

Outlook: With 12 seniors back, the Matadors will once again be in the hunt. Their elimination in the quarterfinals is something that's not going to sit well with the returners, who will be on a mission to make up for that occurrence.
Fun Fact: Stanojevic's next victory will be the 300th of his career, placing him in a select group among NM high school coaches.
